The Skinny on Thursday's Birthday Bash Sale-A-Thon
I've spent all day today putting together the how to's and what to's for Thursday's Birthday Bash Sale-A-Thon (Woot-Off Style). The trickiest thing was trying to figure out how to keep you from having to place multiple orders, resulting in my issuing multiple refunds for excess shipping. And not knowing whether you're done shopping or not, leaving a bunch of semi-ready orders sitting there

Good Habits: Brush Care 101
As many of you well know, I'm a self-proclaimed brush whore - and I know I'm not alone. How many of you have invested hundreds of dollars (if you're brave enough to total up what you've spent over the years) on brushes, but don't take proper care of them? Properly cared for, brushes can last forever. I remember the first time I washed one of my makeup brushes. It had never even occured to me that

Attention Brush Whores!
Hi, my name is Robyn, and I'm a brush whore. There, I've said it. I collect makeup brushes like others collect shoes. I'm also pretty anal about them, and am vigilant about washing them at least weekly (shadow brushes get washed daily, since I constantly change my shadow colors).I found a really, really cool item for brushes: The Brush Guard. The Brush Guard is made of a flexible plastic that is

New Stuff & Reduced Prices
We added a few new things to our line in the last couple of weeks. By popular request, we now carry a dual fiber stippler brush - a great tool for applying bronzers or blushes when you want a softer, less defined focus. Unlike a standard blush brush, you don't apply in a sweeping motion - you "push" or "dot" on your color. The head of the brush has fibers of different lengths, giving an

The "To Do" List
Is your "to do" list a mile long like mine is? And I bet you're like me, and get to maybe 1/10th of that list each day. Subconsciously, that list is divided into parts: absolutely, positively gotta do it no matter what (like pay your real estate taxes before midnight the day they're due), really "need" to do, and "would like to do's". Somehow, I never get to that last type unless I'm looking for

Black Friday Special
Like this kabuki? It's perfect for those who prefer the short handle of a kabuki combined with the easy of application of a flat top foundation brush. Made of the softest synthetic hairs on the market, this kabuki is very dense as well, and applies foundations marvelously.I know I promised Cyber Monday promotions, but I just decided at the last minute to have one Black Friday item - I was feeling

Beauty Blender - The $20 Pink Egg
I've been meaning to write this article for days, and just haven't gotten around to it. But just emailing with Vanessa, got me to start writing about this gizmo. OK, it's not the article I was intending to write (and still will, eventually), but where better to start than my own blog that is in serious need of updating anyway?I've been hearing about the Beauty Blender for quite awhile, but
